User Experience

This phone might not appeal to you in the first look. Back cover feels
too plasticky and weight of phone is a big issue. However the touch is
good and lacks somewhere while playing your favourite games. The
micro-USB port is placed at bottom left while 3.5mm jack is at the top
alongside power button. SIM card and SD card slot is inside the back
cover behind the battery. There are 4 feather touch buttons at the
bottom, volume rocker is placed on left of the handset. As mentioned
earlier the weight of this phone increases because of a bigger battery
meant to give you longer battery life for all your needs. Overall the
phone is feels comfortable in palm and the 4-inch screen with 800*480
resolution is surprisingly good.
Firmware/ Interface
Surfing Internet on this device is a fun with larger text and the
response to your touch on links is fast. Icons on the homepage are large
and the navigation through 3D cube interface by Spice is a pleasure to
eyes. Mi-425 comes with Android 2.3.6 as of now but is upgradable to
ICS. The phone also comes with pre-installed apps like Spice Gang, Rail
Yatra, Max Bupa, BSE/NSE Stocks, Live Aarti and YouTube.
Processor and Camera
The Spice Mi-425 comes with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor of Qualcomm and
plays most applications efficiently. There is no lagging in scrolling
of menu or in any other work. Coming to camera, the Spice Mi-425 has a 5
MP primary camera and a 0.3 MP VGA front camera. The rear or the
primary camera is great for clicking pictures in moderate or bright
light, however in dull sorroundings it just does not works. The front
camera does not get our approval, its way too bad for a smartphone, in
other words it’s a compromise.
Battery and other specs

Mi-425 comes with a 2000 mAh Lithium-ion battery stand apart in class as
most of the smartphones does not have such a big battery. This gives
you 6 hrs of talktime which is quite good. On the downside this
humongous battery adds to the weight of the phone. Other usual features
are wifi, Bluetooth, GPS etc.
The Specifications of the smartphone are listed below
- Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread), planned upgrade to v4.x
- 1 GHz Scorpio
- Dual Sim ( GSM + GSM )
- 4.1 inches display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (~233 ppi pixel density)
- 140 MB storage ,expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card
- 5 MP,With Flash and 0.3 MP secondary Camera
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot
- Dimensions: 125x63.5x12.5 mm weights 110g
- 2,000 mAh Li-on battery
- Price: Rs. 9,990

:: Leading US Banking & Financial Sector Suffering From Massive DDoS Attack. ::
| Bank of America |
Few days ago in a report we said that US National Security officials accused the Iranian government for engaging cyber attacks against US Banks. The attack came just after 'anti Islamic' video was posted online. Attacks against the websites of leading banks in the United States have the banking and financial services industry on edge. The Financial Services ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis Center) set its Threat Level to “High” on Wednesday, September 19, indicating a high risk of cyber attacks. Attacks against the websites of leading banks in the United States have the banking and financial services industry on edge.
A Muslim hacking group calling itself Izz ad-Din al Qassam Cyber Fighters took responsibility for attacks on the New York Stock Exchange, Bank of America and Chase last week. This week brought attacks against Wells Fargo, US Bank and PNC. Wells Fargo used its Twitter account to apologize for service interruptions on Wednesday and said it was working to "quickly resolve this issue." Most of the targeted banks were back online and operational Thursday. The events prompted U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT) to use an interview on C-SPAN to point the finger of blame at the Iranian government and its elite Quds Force.
Whether it is Iran Govt or that hacker group 'Izz ad-Din al Qassam Cyber Fighters' but the main issue of concern is that the Banking and financial sector has been highly disturbed since last few weeks. Though the situation came under control at last Thursday but still experts are predicting that this ongoing cyber attack is not over yet. In their statement the hacker group vows to engage more attack. "These series of attacks will continue until the Erasing of that nasty movie from the Internet," said the hacker.
